How to reset your Domain Email Password.

Design4africa is your Web Host & Email Provider, managing your Domain & Web Storage for your website. A domain email is any email tied to your domain, such as info@yourdomain.co.za or sales@yourdomain.co.za. If you’ve forgotten your password for one of these emails, you can reset it by following the steps below.

How to Reset Your Domain Email Password

Step 1: Open a browser on your phone or laptop and go to your website (e.g., yourdomain.co.za). In the address bar, add "webmail." to the beginning so it reads webmail.yourdomain.co.za, then press Enter. Alternatively, type webmail.yourdomain.co.za directly into a new tab.

Step 2: You’ll see a screen with a bright orange Webmail logo, fields for "Username" and "Password," and a blue Login button. Below the Login button, find the clickable text Reset Password (it looks like a link, not a button) and click it.

Step 3: On the next screen, with a bright orange cPanel logo, enter the full email address you want to reset (e.g., info@yourdomain.co.za) in the "Username" field. Click the blue Reset Password button.

Step 4: You’ll see a message: "Complete your contact email address below to receive your security code." Enter your contact email address (the public email we have on file, like a Gmail or Yahoo address) in the provided field. A hint will show a partially masked version, such as "Hint: j-n@g-l.com," to help you confirm it’s yours. Click the blue Send Security Code button.

Step 5: Keep this browser window open. Go to your contact email inbox (e.g., Gmail “

or Yahoo) and find the email from cPanel or Webmail with your security code. Check your spam/junk folder if it’s not in your inbox. Copy the code.

Step 6: Return to the open browser window. Enter the security code you received into the provided field, then click the blue Submit or Verify button (wording may vary).

Step 7: If the code is correct, you’ll be taken to a new screen. Enter your new password in the first field, then retype it in the second field to confirm. Ensure it’s strong (at least 8 characters, with letters, numbers, and symbols). Click the blue Change Password or Save button.

Step 8: You’ll see a confirmation message that your password has been reset. You can now use your new password to log in to your domain email.

Notes for Success

  • In Step 1, ensure webmail.yourdomain.co.za is typed correctly—any mistake will stop the page from loading.
  • In Step 4, the hint (e.g., "Hint: j-n@g-l.com") shows the first and last letters of your contact email’s username (before @) and domain (after @), separated by hyphens. For example, "j-n@g-l.com" hints at "john@gmail.com"—only you should recognize it.
  • In Step 5, if the security code doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes, check spam/junk or verify your contact email is correct.
  • In Step 7, the system will alert you if your new password doesn’t meet security requirements.
