Design4africa Pty Ltd was registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission of South Africa on 2 September 2024 and was subsequently launched as the brand design4africa® on 5 September 2024. However, our journey began 11 years earlier.

Company History

• 2013-2018: We started as Team1Media, focusing on printing, graphics design, and operating an internet café. Our primary focus was on providing services to make a living. During this time, the owner anticipated the decline of the internet café business and the need for growth. We were doing website design with fewer than five clients, using HTML, and offering web hosting as agents of other companies. The owner realized the need to become an accredited registrar and to offer web hosting from our own servers. This period marked the beginning of our journey towards establishing a consistent business model focused on client needs.
• 2018-2024: We rebranded to Website Revolution, focusing on website design and graphics. During this time, we became an accredited domain registrar by the ZA registry Consortium (ZARC) and set up our own web servers. This allowed us to offer competitive web hosting services. However, we faced challenges due to an overseas company with the same name and domain, affecting our online presence and marketing. This period was crucial for gaining experience, improving customer service, and expanding our service offerings to include video creation and motion graphics.
• 2024: On 2 September, we registered our new brand, design4africa®, to better reflect our broadened service offerings and our expansion across Africa.

Why We Rebranded

Our rebranding to design4africa® was driven by several key factors:

1. Expanded Services: Initially, we offered website design as our core service, with other services as add-ons. Now, we provide three main services: web design, graphic design, and video creation, including motion graphics.
2. Comprehensive Branding: Previous names did not fully encompass our range of services or our pan-African reach. design4africa® clearly communicates our focus on design and our commitment to serving clients across Africa.
3. Market Presence: The previous brand names had limitations in terms of online presence and did not adequately describe our full range of services. design4africa® is unique, descriptive, and available in both the .co.za and .com domains.

Our Mission

At design4africa®, we are dedicated to providing top-notch design services that cater to the diverse needs of businesses across Africa. Our services include:

• Web Design: Creating stunning, functional websites for various industries, including business offering services, real estate, auto dealers, schools, and churches.
• Graphic Design: Designing logos, flyers, company profiles, business cards, social media banners, and online banners.
• Video Creation: Producing high-quality motion graphics and video content for marketing businesses and entities.

Our Vision

We aim to be the leading design service provider across Africa, known for our creativity, reliability, and customer-centric approach. With our new brand, we are better positioned to serve our clients and expand our reach throughout the continent.

Communication Policy

We prioritize communication through WhatsApp for its immediacy and cost-effectiveness across Africa. Our communication hierarchy is as follows:

1. WhatsApp Chat: Primary mode for general communication.
2. WhatsApp Call: Used for urgent matters, coaching, training and setup guidance and clients outside South Africa.
3. Phone Call: Used for clients within South Africa for urgent matters, coaching, training and setup guidance.
4. Email: Reserved for quotations, invoices, legal documentation, and formal agreements and formal acceptance of our Terms and Conditions. We do not use email for security notifications due to the risk of fraud.

For security reasons, we never send important links or security messages via email. Clients are advised to verify any critical communication through our official WhatsApp number.
