Design4africa is a design company focusing on computer-aided designs, which includes website design, graphics design, and video creation. Besides these core services, we offer a variety of add-on services to our clients. In this article, we will talk about what you need to do to take control of your business's social media accounts after we have created and set them up for you.

We create and set up your social media accounts and hand them over to you, but the process differs depending on the platform.

For instance, Facebook has a unique and straightforward way, while other social media platforms require a different approach.

Facebook Business Page: The Unique Hand Over Process.

• To take control of your Facebook business page that we've created for you, you must have your own personal Facebook account.
• To hand over control, you need to provide us with either the username of your personal Facebook account or the email controlling that account, or both.
•  After we set up your page, we will invite you to take full control.
• You'll find this invitation either in your personal Facebook account's notification area or in the email that controls that personal account.
• Once you find and accept the invitation, you can take over control.
• Before you completely remove us, make sure everything on your Facebook page is to your liking and you don't need further assistance.
• Once everything is fine, you can kick us out by changing the page's admin settings.

How other Social Media Accounts work.

Unlike Facebook, other social media platforms do not have a direct way for businesses like Design4africa to create accounts on behalf of others.
Our solution is that when it comes to creating these accounts, we ask you to choose or create a new Gmail account for your business, typically in the format of yourbrand@gmail.com. If you already have a personal Gmail account, eg Name&Surname@gmail.com, we advise against using it for business purposes due to security concerns; instead, create a new one.
We'll then ask you to temporarily change the password to one we provide, allowing us to temporarily use that Gmail account to create and setup your new social media accounts. Once we've completed the setup, we will notify you.

How we Hand Over your Social Media accounts.

• To take control of the social media accounts we've just created and set up for you, log into the device (computer or phone) where you are logged into the Gmail account with the password we provided for setup.
• If we've created a website for you, the social media links will be available on the header and footer of your website. Visit your website in this browser and click on the links for each social media account.
• You'll either be automatically logged in because the social media recognizes the browser logged in with the Gmail used for creation, or you'll need to look for the login button.
• Do this for all accounts, check our setup, and if you're happy, proceed to change the login passwords for each social media account. This will remove our access.
• Once you've confirmed all changes are satisfactory and no further adjustments are needed from us, change the password for the Gmail account back to your personal one, effectively kicking us out of both the social media accounts and the Gmail account.
